In January 2011, Hublot unveils its fourth new line of watches christened MasterPiece!
Imagined, developed and manufactured entirely by the Confrerie Horlogere Hublot (a team of 30 staff entirely dedicated to Grand Complications), the Master Piece MP-01 is the first Hublot barrel-shaped watch!
The titanium curved case houses the manufactured HUB5100 Caliber.
The mono-pusher column wheel chronograph movement is also barrel-shaped, with the even rarer distinction of being curved to follow the contours of the piece.
Thanks to its three barrels working in series, this exceptional calibre offers a 10-day power reserve, an indicator hand for which is situated on the back of the piece.
From an aesthetic point of view, the watch dial was skilfully openworked so that the fine mechanics of the chronograph can be admired.
Another special feature to highlight is the indexes, which continue beyond the titanium bezel. An aluminium “metal grid” placed around the bezel rim rounds off the resolutely dynamic and distinguished design of this first piece!
“More watchmaking, more mastery, more innovation …”, was how Jean-Claude Biver, defined the future of Hublot a few months ago … promise kept!
Produced in a numbered series of just 100 pieces, the Hublot MasterPiece MP-01 will be soon available at Chronopassion!
