A New Architecture of Leaping Time
With the Master Jumper, Franck Muller reinvents the display of time through a spectacular complication that combines jumping hours, jumping minutes, and a jumping large date on a single dial. Presented in the Curvex CX case, this Manufacture creation perfectly illustrates the visionary spirit of the Geneva-based House and its expertise in contemporary horological complications.
Conceived as a true technical and aesthetic showcase, the Master Jumper completely dispenses with traditional hands in favor of a disc-based display system. The hours appear in a window positioned at 12 o’clock, while the minutes are displayed at the center of the dial via two discs dedicated to the tens and units. At 6 o’clock, a large jumping date completes this perfectly symmetrical architecture.
Each indication changes instantly, offering a time display that is at once mechanical, fluid, and fascinating. This extremely complex synchronization requires absolute mastery of instant jumps and the movement’s energy management. With this triple jumping complication, Franck Muller presents a rare and daring interpretation of modern haute horlogerie.
The black guilloché dial, inspired by the twisted Clous de Paris pattern, subtly plays with light and accentuates the piece’s visual depth. The different textures create a dynamic relief that highlights the jumping displays and reinforces the watch’s architectural character.
