A new Grand Seiko creation powered by a High-Beat movement offers a new perspective on the nature of time. Its dial is inspired by the slender white birch trees that are widespread in central and northern Japan and grow in abundance near the two workshops where the watches are made. Through its sophisticated texture, fine details and meticulous design, this new timepiece opens a window on Japan's unique natural environment and Grand Seiko's refined craftsmanship.

The watch captures the serenity of the white birch forests located near the Studio where all Grand Seiko's mechanical watches are made. In summer and winter, their tall, slender trunks with white bark create a shimmering picture that is both aesthetic and mysterious. The new dial perfectly evokes the feeling of walking through these forests: the feeling of getting closer to the true nature of time and touching eternity with the fingertips.
The design of the 9 series: true to the ideals and traditions of Grand Seiko.The overall design of this new 9 series creation is destined to become an important part of the signature Grand Seiko Heritage collection. Powerful hands and grooved protruding indexes ensure perfect legibility. Alternating between Zaratsu polishing, for a mirror finish without any distortion, and brushed finishing, gives the case a discreet and harmonious shine. The case has wide lugs and a low center of gravity, giving it a perfect fit on the wrist. The design of the Series 9 is true to the Grand Seiko style defined in 1967 with the famous 44GS, but combined with a strong contemporary character that marks a new era.

The high-frequency watch is powered by the revolutionary 9SA5 caliber, which offers an 80-hour power reserve thanks to its optimized energy efficiency. First presented in 2020, this caliber incorporates the all-new double-pulse escapement, Grand Seiko's racketless balance and horizontal gear train, three significant advances that set a new standard for high-beat movements. While offering advanced functionality, this caliber is characterized by an unprecedentedly slim design that allows for watches with a slim profile.
