The dial is a deep blue that captures the enchanting beauty of the full moon illuminating the night sky above the Shinshu Mountains, mountains that can be seen from the studio where this and all other Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are created.
The sunburst pattern of the dial captures light in all directions and recreates the delicate glow that the moon casts on the landscape when it is at its zenith.
This new watch features a golden colored seconds hand. As it glides silently across the large dial thanks to the Spring Drive movement, it captures the splendor of the sky, bringing the wearer closer to the calm and unchanging nature of time passing.
The minute and second hands are hand-crafted and gently curved towards the graduations at the edge of the dial, allowing the time to be read with extreme precision. The watch has a dark blue crocodile leather strap, in perfect harmony with the color of the dial.
This new creation is equipped with a hand-wound Spring Drive 9R31 caliber.
This movement incorporates an innovative barrel with two parallel mainsprings and offers a 72-hour power reserve.
The finesse of this movement, the slim case construction and the box-shaped sapphire crystal allowed the Shinshu Watch Studio artisans to create a classic tapered model that embodies the spirit of the original 44GS and has a lower center of gravity for an extremely comfortable wear.
This watch will be available in a limited edition of 1500 pieces.
An individual serial number and the inscription "Limited Edition" are engraved on the case back.
