A new Spring Drive Grand Seiko timepiece evoking the gentle movement of the waters of Lake Suwa.
In the southeast of the Shinshu Watch Studio, where Spring Drive watches are made, the gentle sound of the waters of Lake Suwa is a constant source of inspiration for Grand Seiko's master watchmakers. The dial of the new Grand Seiko Spring Drive SLGA021 evokes the surface of this body of water as it moves in gentle ripples in the calm of dawn, stirred by the wind. Here, the dark blue color of the water offers a spectrum of multiple shades depending on the angle from which the light is reflected. The seconds hand, gliding gently over the dial, completes this silent harmony. This timepiece is powered by the Spring Drive 5 Days 9RA2 caliber, assembled by the skilled master craftsmen of Shinshu Watch Studio and designed to last up to approximately 120 hours (5 days) when fully wound. Like the gentle movement of water, the second hand moves with the rhythm of time, made possible by the Spring Drive movement.
