Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Collection SLGA023 Blue Ushio Caliber 9RA5
A marvellous design with a light, comfortable feel.

A Spring Drive 5-day Diver's Watch inspired by the currents surrounding the Japanese archipelago
Surrounding the Japanese archipelago are powerful currents such as the Kuroshio Current, one of the world’s major ocean currents, or the Oyashio Current, whose nutrient-rich waters make this region one of the world’s most diverse oceanic regions. The undulating waves created by the meeting of these ocean currents are captured in the dial pattern of this watch, which also uses a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert.
Featuring Evolution 9 styling, 200-meter water resistance and a blue color variant of the “Ushio” dial originally presented in black in 2022, this SLGA023 reference is Grand Seiko’s latest diver’s watch. Beneath its textured dial lies the caliber 9RA5, a new-generation self-winding Spring Drive movement with a precision of ±10 seconds per month and a power reserve of five days when fully wound. The 43.8mm-diameter case and bracelet are made of high-intensity titanium, a material that is 30% lighter than stainless steel and more resistant to scratches and corrosion.
The bi-directional rotating ceramic bezel protects the watch from scratches, increasing its durability, and has been coated with Lumibrite to ensure better visibility in the dark (as well as on the hands and indexes).
