H.Moser & Cie 2802-1000, Venturer Tourbillon Sapphire, unique piece

The Venturer Tourbillon Sapphire by H. Moser & Cie. is a marvellous feat of transparency thanks to the sapphire case and dial fully set with sapphires. With such a precious casing, the baguette-cut sapphires adorning the fumé dial of this exceptional creation can be admired from all angles, whilst showcasing the HMC 802 Manufacture movement with one-minute tourbillon. Unveiled at SIHH 2019, the Venturer Tourbillon Sapphire is a unique piece. 

H. Moser & Cie. has used the case from the Venturer collection and created a version made entirely out of sapphire. The finish on the case flanks with its unusual shapes, the exquisite bezel, the curve of the dial and the crystal, the proportions which echo the convex forms of the 1960s – the beauty of all these features is amplified by the transparency of the sapphire. This completely transparent showcase offers an unimpeded view of the HMC 802 automatic calibre with all the small details and fine finishes on full display. The interchangeable minute tourbillon at 6 o'clock is certainly eye-catching, while on the reverse is the solid gold engraved bidirectional rotor. 

Like the Renaissance painters, skilfully applying and blending shades of colour, H. Moser & Cie. has selected and set the most stunning sapphires on the Venturer Tourbillon Sapphire dial, according to their colour nuances, to reproduce their famed fumé effect for this unique piece. Baguette-cut sapphires reveal the minute tourbillon, giving the impression of diving into the heart of the tourbillon cage. 

A highly technical movement, the HMC 802 automatic calibre is equipped with a Straumann® Double Hairspring produced in-house for improved accuracy and isochronism, and an interchangeable tourbillon module that is truly a part of the history of time, and which transcends the advantages of a simple tourbillon.
