HYT T1 Chocolate: fluidic display in a warm and precious version

With this variation featuring a chocolate dial, HYT presents a particularly warm and sophisticated interpretation of its T1 collection. The depth of this winter shade, highlighted by a vertical satin finish, subtly captures the light and reveals the architectural dimension of the dial.

A warm and contemporary aesthetic

The T1 Chocolat stands out for its rare balance between presence and elegance. Its 45 mm case, with subtly faceted octagonal lines, has been designed to improve ergonomics and offer a more natural fit on the wrist.

The richness of the chocolate brown dial perfectly matches the 5N 750/1000 gold and DLC titanium case, a combination that accentuates the depth of the colors and reinforces the precious character of the piece. The vertical satin finishes structure the dial and highlight the different levels of reading, creating a particularly refined play of textures.

Above this ensemble, a domed sapphire crystal—called a “bell-shaped crystal”—adds a spectacular three-dimensional dimension and reveals the full complexity of the brand’s signature fluidic display.

The HYT fluidic display

At the heart of the T1 Chocolate beats a system that is unique in contemporary watchmaking: the fluidic hour display, HYT’s signature technology.

Two bellows located at 6 o’clock activate a glass capillary containing two immiscible liquids. Driven by the mechanical movement, one gradually pushes the red fluid, which advances along the peripheral tube to indicate the hours.

The visible interface between the two liquids—called the meniscus—thus advances gently along the graduated scale. Every twelve hours, the fluid performs an instantaneous retrograde return to begin a new cycle.

Inspired by the principle of ancient water clocks and protected by several patents, this watchmaking technology was awarded the Innovation Prize at the 2012 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

An exceptional in-house movement

The T1 Chocolat is powered by the in-house caliber 501-CM manual-winding movement, composed of 352 components and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

This movement orchestrates both the mechanical precision and the complexity of the fluidic system thanks to two flexible bellows and an extremely precise regulating mechanism. The watch also has a 72-hour power reserve, indicated by a sector positioned at 2 o’clock on the dial.

The sapphire crystal case back allows the architecture of the movement and the mechanical elements that drive this unique complication to be admired.

Comfort and innovation for everyday wear

The T1 Chocolat is equipped with a rubber strap that is perfectly integrated into the case, available in black or in a chocolate shade to match the dial. Its design naturally follows the curve of the wrist for remarkable comfort.

The watch also features a quick strap change system, developed specifically for the collection. A discreet push button on the back of the case allows the strap to be removed instantly, without tools.

The screw-down crown at 2 o’clock, made of 5N 750/1000 gold and DLC titanium, guarantees water resistance to 50 meters, while contributing to the aesthetic balance of the piece.
