DESIGN INSPIRATION
The “Le Monde Est à Vous Dual Time Zone” watch pays tribute to the watch that started it all for Jacob Arabo. Inspired by a precious antique timepiece, this dual time zone watch was given to Jacob Arabo by his father, Nison Arabov, when he was 13 years old. This creation reflects the very essence of Jacob & Co. where every design is imbued with passion and heart. It is Jacob Arabo’s most authentic work, born of family history and watchmaking heritage.
THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The “World Is Yours Dual Time Zone” is inspired by Wakmann’s original dual time zone. Equipped with the self-winding JCAA11 caliber, it allows the two sub-dials to be set independently to display different hours and minutes, even for atypical time zones such as UTC +4:30. Featuring domed sapphire crystal and dial, this unique watch comprises 206 components and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
COMPLICATIONS AND FEATURES
The original watch received by Jacob Arabo was both practical and innovative. The “World Is Yours Dual Time Zone” continues this tradition with a modernized dial and complication, powered by an exclusive self-winding caliber.
DOME DESIGN
Inspired by our planet, the watch features a rounded case and curved dial beneath a domed sapphire crystal, celebrating the third dimension of space.
TWO INDEPENDENT TIME ZONES
The watch indicates two distinct time zones, adjustable to the minute. The crown, located on the right-hand side of the case, winds the watch and adjusts each time zone independently, ensuring perfect precision for unusual time differences.
THE COMPASS ROSE CENTRAL SECOND
At the center of the domed dial is a compass rose-shaped seconds hand, symbolizing the essential compass in the middle of a world map and reminding us of the importance of orientation in the world.
THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL DIAL
The widely curved, hand-crafted dial presents a detailed view of the Western Hemisphere sky, with blue-lacquered seas and finely crafted continents. The hands are inclined at 12° to adapt to the curvature of the dial.
THE ENGRAVED BACK
The caseback offers a complete view of the globe, precisely engraved using advanced laser technology, completing the global representation.
