With the Belvedere Titan, Carl Suchy & Söhne presents a particularly lightweight titanium version of its contemporary sports watch. The gray metal of the case complements the dial’s matching tones, while a gold seconds hand adds a warmer contrast to the overall design.

Above all, the Carl Suchy & Söhne Belvedere Titan retains one of the collection’s most distinctive features: its moving date window. Every twenty-four hours, the window shifts, subtly altering the balance of the dial.

Inside, the CSS201 automatic movement, developed in collaboration with Dubois Dépraz, offers a 42-hour power reserve. This Swiss movement is visible on the case back, notably thanks to its gold rotor adorned with a depiction of Vienna’s Belvedere Palace.

A 40.8 mm titanium case

The choice of titanium significantly alters the Belvedere’s character. Its low density makes for a watch that feels particularly light on the wrist despite a diameter of 40.8 mm.

The case measures 43.9 mm from lug to lug and is 12.2 mm thick. The bezel, lugs, and caseback feature polished surfaces that contrast with the naturally more industrial hue of the titanium.

The Belvedere Titan is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides.

Its screw-down crown, accented by a black lacquer insert, helps ensure water resistance up to 100 meters, allowing this Carl Suchy & Söhne timepiece to withstand daily wear without losing its elegant character.

The floating date, a signature feature of the Belvedere

The gray dial of the Belvedere Titan stands out for an unusual complication: rather than permanently fixing the date window in a specific location, Carl Suchy & Söhne allows it to move across the dial.

With each date change, the window shifts. The watch’s face thus transforms every twenty-four hours, introducing a dynamic element into a composition that remains deliberately understated.

This approach to a feature as familiar as the date gives the Belvedere an instantly recognizable identity without resorting to a visually ostentatious complication.

A Gray Dial with Depth and Detail

The gray lacquered dial plays with volume and varying levels of finish. Its integrated concave flange accentuates the overall depth and complements the rhodium-plated hour markers, which are also designed with a concave profile.

The skeletonized Dauphine hands and hour markers are generously coated with Super-LumiNova® to ensure excellent readability when light levels diminish.

At the center, the gold seconds hand deliberately breaks with the monochromatic color scheme of the case and dial. This detail adds a touch of light and subtly echoes the gold elements visible on the watch’s case back.

CSS201 Caliber Developed with Dubois Dépraz

The Belvedere Titan is powered by the CSS201 automatic caliber, a customized version of the Dubois Dépraz DD90000 created specifically for Carl Suchy & Söhne.

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, this movement features 21 jewels and delivers a 42-hour power reserve.

It displays the hours, minutes, and central seconds, and powers the sliding date mechanism characteristic of the Belvedere collection.

The attention to detail in the movement’s presentation is evident in its ornate gold ring, visible through the crystal caseback.

A Rotor Inspired by the Belvedere Palace

Carl Suchy & Söhne maintains a close connection to Vienna and its architectural heritage. This Austrian identity is directly reflected in the movement of the Belvedere Titan.

Its gold rotor features a micro-engraving depicting the façade of the Belvedere Palace, one of the Austrian capital’s iconic monuments and the source of the collection’s name.

This detail, visible on the back of the watch, adds a more personal touch to this Swiss-made movement.

Integrated rubber strap and titanium clasp

The Belvedere Titan is mounted on a 22 mm integrated rubber strap, which narrows to 20 mm at the clasp.

Its inner surface features a textured pattern inspired by the Belvedere Gardens, extending the watch’s Viennese references right down to the strap’s details.

The quick-release bar system makes it easy to replace the strap without tools. The strap fits wrist sizes ranging from 140 to 190 mm.

The titanium folding clasp, equipped with a safety mechanism, completes a design intended to preserve the lightness and comfort that characterize this Titan version.

A Swiss watch with Viennese roots

The Carl Suchy & Söhne Belvedere Titan is manufactured in Switzerland but clearly embodies the brand’s Viennese heritage.

From the name “Belvedere” to the engraving on the rotor, right down to the design of the gardens reproduced on the inside of the bracelet, several details evoke this dual identity.

The watch comes in a handcrafted velvet case accompanied by a genuine leather travel pouch made in Vienna according to Carl Suchy & Söhne’s own design.
