Konstantin Chaykin Joker Classic Grey & Burgundy
This gray and burgundy version is undoubtedly the most elegant of the Joker Classic models. It retains all the personality of the original model while adding a new level of sophistication and maturity. A more understated, more refined Joker but just as irresistible on the wrist.
The most sophisticated version of the famous Wristmon
The most sophisticated expression of the famous Wristmon
With this gray and burgundy interpretation of the Joker Classic, Konstantin Chaykin gives a new personality to the creation that revolutionized contemporary independent watchmaking.
While the mischievous spirit of the original Joker remains intact, this version adopts a more mature, refined, and decidedly more understated aesthetic. The traditional light-colored dial with green accents gives way to a subtle composition where luminous gray interacts with a deep burgundy flange, transforming the character’s exuberance into an almost aristocratic elegance.
The Wristmon’s iconic face retains all its expressive power. The hour and minute discs continue to animate the character’s gaze, while the moon phase sketches his famous smile, which shifts with the lunar cycle. But in this iteration, the expression seems different: more mysterious, more ironic, almost theatrical.
The work done on the textures plays a major role in this new visual identity. The dial’s background features a delicate “Grain de Riz” guilloché pattern, while the nose sports a “Pavé de Paris” motif that subtly captures the light. The shades of gray offer remarkable depth, while touches of burgundy highlight the contours of the face with a discreet yet immediately recognizable presence.
The 40-mm stainless steel case further reinforces this sense of balance. More compact than that of the first-generation Joker, it lends the watch remarkable versatility while accentuating the visual presence of the famous anthropomorphic face.
On the back, the sapphire crystal case back reveals the K.18-18 automatic caliber and its exclusive module developed by the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture. Combined with a specially modified Swiss La Joux-Perret mechanical base, it offers a 68-hour power reserve as well as a level of finish befitting the now-iconic status of the Wristmons collection.
This Joker Classic Grey & Burgundy is likely aimed at enthusiasts who appreciate the concept of the original Joker but are seeking a more discreet, sophisticated, and even rarer interpretation.
A watch that continues to smile, but with more mystery than provocation.
