You may have guessed the meaning of the “L”. It doesn’t stand for “lagoon” or “lavender”, but for “luminescent”. Thanks to the full integration of Super-LumiNova®, the entire dial emits a bright glow as soon as the lights go out.

The TYPE 5 L’s ultra-luminescence is combined with the presence of oil in the upper case chamber, creating an amplified projection effect that gives the illusion that information is displayed directly on the sapphire crystal. This makes the dial highly legible from any viewing angle, providing a clear, crisp display essential for divers.

Standards-compliant

The TYPE 5 L complies with the rigorous ISO 6425 standard, essential for underwater exploration, guaranteeing the highest levels of safety and reliability. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM) and has passed shock and magnetic field resistance tests, among other rigorous tests. Its robust Grade 5 titanium construction ensures durability while maintaining a light weight.

Precision and safety

The TYPE 5 L is equipped with an ergonomically designed, easy-to-handle unidirectional rotating bezel, enabling precise and reliable adjustments, crucial for divers tracking immersion time. What’s more, each TYPE 5 case back incorporates the Ressence Compression Lock System (RCLS), guaranteeing water-resistance thanks to a secure locking mechanism.
