Following the success of the limited edition Tourbillon Souscription in yellow gold, Daniel Roth unveils a new stage in its renaissance with the Tourbillon Or Rose. This new creation, featuring an original dial with in-line guilloché, perpetuates the brand’s heritage with a modern interpretation of its emblematic Tourbillon.
Inspired by the historic reference 2187/C187, designed by Daniel Roth himself, this timepiece reinvents the aesthetics of the tourbillon. This 5N pink gold model features a double ellipse case, a timeless signature of the brand, sublimated by a matching guilloché dial. This ‘pink on pink’ combination embodies the elegance sought after by lovers of fine watchmaking.
Meticulous design for enthusiasts
‘Rose gold, with its warm, sophisticated hue, is a precious metal that offers a contemporary look while paying homage to watchmaking tradition,’ explains Matthieu Hegi, Artistic Director of Watchmaking at Daniel Roth. This new edition is a natural extension of the yellow gold used for the Tourbillon Souscription, while adding a touch of innovation in keeping with the brand’s aesthetic codes.
Every detail, from the case to the meticulous engraving of the dial, expresses the craftsmanship that sets the brand apart. The double ellipse case in pink gold, faithful to the proportions of the original model, has been subtly reworked for perfect balance. The curved lugs and the slenderness of the DR001 calibre underline the ergonomics and refinement of this exceptional watch.
A tribute to fine Swiss watchmaking
The Tourbillon Or Rose is powered by the DR001 calibre, designed by master watchmakers Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini. This movement, produced at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, is now visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, revealing the full complexity of its construction and the beauty of its hand-finishing.
Limited to just 50 pieces per year, each watch is numbered from ‘21’, continuing the Tourbillon Souscription lineage. The movement, adorned with vertical Côtes de Genève and polished steel bridges, illustrates the meticulousness and excellence for which Daniel Roth is renowned.
Unrivalled craftsmanship
As with every Daniel Roth creation, the dial is guilloché-engraved by hand with exceptional precision. This pink gold version features the brand’s distinctive line guilloché pattern, created in collaboration with the workshops of Kari Voutilainen.
Connoisseurs will also appreciate the tourbillon cage, crafted in hand-polished steel with a mirror finish, and the movement’s smallest components, worked with meticulous care.
