Laurent's opinion
This lighter version gives the Aqualab a whole new look. The silver-gray and blue perfectly highlight its unique display and highly graphic design.

Gagà Laboratorio Aqualab Silver Grey and Blue AQSI-002.R01: a diver's watch full of contrasts

The Gagà Laboratorio Aqualab Silver Grey and Blue AQSI-002.R01 offers a brighter take on the Aqualab collection. The silver-gray dial combines with blue markings and a few red accents to create a graphic design that particularly highlights its unique display.
Behind this original aesthetic, the Aqualab retains the attributes of a sports watch: a 44 mm stainless steel case, water resistance to 200 meters, a graduated inner bezel, and a La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement offering a 68-hour power reserve.

A 44 mm stainless steel case
The Aqualab Silver Grey and Blue features a 44-mm-diameter 316L stainless steel case that is 15 mm thick.
Its generous, rounded contours give the watch an instantly recognizable presence. The double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating accentuates the depth of a multi-layered dial.
The case back is secured by four screws, and the watch is water-resistant to 200 meters.
The Aqualab’s design is also distinguished by its two vertically arranged crowns. The crown at the 12 o’clock position sets the time, while the crown at the 6 o’clock position controls the inner minute scale ring.

A Digital and Analog Display
Gagà Laboratorio deliberately departs from the traditional display of a dive watch.
The hours are displayed digitally via a disc, visible through a large aperture in the upper part of the dial. The minutes are displayed analogically, complemented by a central seconds hand.
On this Silver Grey and Blue version, the dial plays with different shades of gray and silver, complemented by blue numerals and markers. A few red accents enliven the design and enhance readability.
The hour and minute markers feature Super-LumiNova, enhancing their visibility in low-light conditions.

The La Joux-Perret G100 Automatic Caliber
At the heart of the Gagà Laboratorio Aqualab lies the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic caliber.
This Swiss movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz—or 28,800 vibrations per hour—and features 24 jewels. Most notably, it offers a generous power reserve of 68 hours, allowing the watch to remain unworn for more than two days without needing to be wound.
A mechanical choice that aligns with the Aqualab’s contemporary and sporty character.

A Brighter Aqualab
With this combination of silver-gray, blue, and red, the Aqualab AQSI-002. R01 offers a look that is noticeably different from the darker or more colorful variations in the collection.
The light-colored dial also allows for a better appreciation of its architecture, its different levels, and the originality of its display system.
A dive watch that retains the functional hallmarks of the genre while embracing a highly personal aesthetic, true to Gagà Laboratorio’s offbeat approach.
