With this color, this Aqualab instantly makes you long for the sun and the sea. I can't wait for next summer!
Gagà Laboratorio Aqualab Aquamarine AQAQ-001.R14: The diver comes to life in color
With the Aqualab Aquamarine AQAQ-001.R14, Gagà Laboratorio brings a particularly vibrant expression to its vision of the dive watch. Its turquoise-toned dial, complemented by a matching rubber strap, contrasts with an imposing 44-mm brushed steel case.
Behind this highly distinctive aesthetic, the Aqualab retains its true sporting character with a water resistance of 200 meters, a graduated inner bezel operated by a second crown, and a La Joux-Perret automatic movement offering a 68-hour power reserve.
A 44-mm brushed steel case
The Gagà Laboratorio Aqualab Aquamarine features a 316L stainless steel case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 15 mm in thickness. Its brushed finish accentuates the rounded contours of the case while providing a contrast to the vibrant colors of the dial and strap.
The double-domed sapphire crystal features an anti-reflective coating. The case back is secured by four screws, and the assembly ensures water resistance up to 200 meters.
One of the Aqualab’s distinctive features is its dual-crown system. Positioned at 12 o’clock, the first crown is used to set the time. At 6 o’clock, the second crown controls the inner ring bearing the minute scale.
An extraordinary way to tell the time
The dial is at the heart of this Aqualab’s personality. Rather than adopting a conventional three-hand display, Gagà Laboratorio combines digital hours on a disc with analog minutes, complemented by a central seconds hand.
The hour and minute markers are coated with Super-LumiNova to ensure easy readability in low light.
The aquamarine hue plays a key role in the watch’s design. It adorns the dial’s rim and its various markings, while echoing the rubber strap. The red accents provide additional contrast and accentuate its sporty character.
The La Joux-Perret G100 Automatic Caliber
Inside the Aqualab Aquamarine is the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic caliber.
This Swiss movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz—or 28,800 vibrations per hour—and features 24 jewels. Its 68-hour power reserve allows the watch to keep running for nearly three days once removed from the wrist.
The choice of the G100 thus brings contemporary mechanics and ample power reserve to the original dial design conceived by Gagà Laboratorio.
A decidedly summery Aqualab
With its combination of brushed steel and turquoise, this Aquamarine version adds a more playful dimension to the Aqualab without compromising the collection’s technical features.
Its 44-mm diameter, hybrid display, dual-crown system, and instantly recognizable color make it a watch that makes a bold statement on the wrist.
A unique, colorful, and unconventional diver’s watch, true to the personality of Gagà Laboratorio.
