The Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Black Tourbillon Regulator: A Collaboration of Excellence Between Watchmaking and Design
Discover the fruit of the exceptional collaboration between Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein: the Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Black Tourbillon Regulator. This timepiece represents a new stage in the union of watchmaking expertise and innovative design, resulting from a collaboration that began in 2019.
The tourbillon, the pinnacle of art watchmaking and the cornerstone of Alain Silberstein’s thinking, is unveiled in a unique edition. Never before offered as a unique piece, this tourbillon is presented in a dark aesthetic, highlighting a color that reveals all the others: black. This singular and mythical timepiece is produced in a limited series of just 78 pieces.
Black is not simply a color, but a revealer, a background against which colors express their full potential. Alain Silberstein, with his roots in the essential and his love of primary colors, embodies this vision. Since his first Bauhaus-inspired creations in the 1990s, he has been exploring the nuances of time and aesthetics.
The tourbillon, a mechanism that transcends gravity, symbolizes life in motion. It expresses an elusive time that eludes convention, and stands as a testament to human ingenuity. Alain Silberstein and Louis Erard have joined forces to present a watch where mechanical complexity meets refined aesthetics, offering a profound and unique watchmaking experience.
This collaboration, made possible by the friendship between Alain Silberstein and Manuel Emch, CEO and Artistic Director of Louis Erard, marks Alain Silberstein’s return to the creation of a tourbillon-equipped timepiece after more than ten years. With the contribution of watchmaker Olivier Mory, renowned for his contemporary mechanical creativity, this watch embodies Swiss excellence and accessibility.
The Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Régulateur Tourbillon Black houses a Swiss made tourbillon movement, and is offered in a limited edition of 78 at a competitive price, affirming Louis Erard’s commitment to making Swiss haute horlogerie accessible to all.
In short, this collaboration perfectly embodies Louis Erard’s motto: “Together, we’re always stronger”. And this is just the beginning, as other collaborations will follow to enrich the world of watchmaking.
