A Retro-Futuristic Architecture with a Dual Movement
With the Futur Antérieur Silver, Louis Erard and Vianney Halter take their collaboration to a new level by presenting a watch whose architecture draws direct inspiration from the Antiqua, one of the independent watchmaker’s most recognizable creations.
This limited edition of 178 pieces features an original design based on two distinct automatic movements. The hours and minutes are displayed on a first dial, while the seconds are shown on a second, independent display. This unconventional layout breaks with the conventions of traditional watchmaking and embodies a deeply personal approach to timekeeping.
The stainless steel case—an entirely new design for Louis Erard—consists of 67 components. Its dimensions of 38 x 44 mm and a thickness of just 8.85 mm reflect meticulous attention to proportions and ergonomics.
The two rhodium-plated dials feature a grained finish, surrounded by applied rings with circular brushed surfaces and polished bevels. The blued steel hands, designed in Vianney Halter’s signature style, add a touch of color to this metallic ensemble.
The raised bezels, each accented by twelve 1N yellow-gold rivets, evoke the portholes of vintage instruments. The two distinctive crowns and the various case finishes reinforce this sophisticated industrial aesthetic.
Two Sellita SW100 automatic movements independently drive the displays, each with a typical power reserve of 42 hours.
The Futur Antérieur Silver is mounted on a blue ostrich leather strap, whose natural texture and color complement the blued hands.
