The collaboration between Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin has given rise to a new interpretation of the Unfrogettable. This time, the famous creature imagined by the two brands takes on a turquoise look—luminous and almost electric.

Limited to 178 pieces, the Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable Turquoise retains the concept that made this creation a success: transforming the regulator display into a true character. The hours and seconds become the frog’s eyes, while the large central minute hand cuts across its face like an arrow.

But this new color is more than just an aesthetic change. Turquoise, deep blue-green, purple, and luminescent accents come together to create a watch with a radically different personality.

A turquoise dial that brings the Frog to life

The dial is based on an instantly recognizable design. The hour disc at 9 o’clock forms the first eye, while the small seconds disc at 3 o’clock forms the second. The constant movement of these two discs continuously animates the Frog’s face.

In the center, a large arrow-shaped minute hand completes this unusual regulator-style display.

The Turquoise version combines a light-colored, grained-finish dial with deeper blue-green sub-dials. The flange, meanwhile, features two colors: dark turquoise in the upper section and purple in the lower section.

The hour and seconds discs, as well as the minute hand, are rhodium-plated. Elements coated with green Super-LumiNova C5 ensure visibility in the dark.

At 6 o’clock, the names Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin sign this collaboration.

A 40-mm Grade 5 titanium case

The exuberant face of the Unfrogettable Turquoise is set within a 40 mm Grade 5 titanium case, featuring alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces.

With a length of 46.50 mm from lug to lug and a thickness of 12.45 mm, the watch maintains compact dimensions despite the dial’s striking visual presence.

The crown positioned at 12 o’clock is one of the model’s most distinctive details. Its shape is deliberately reminiscent of a genuine royal crown and plays a direct role in expressing the watch’s character. On this Turquoise version, it is crafted from polished Grade 5 titanium.

The sapphire crystal features an anti-reflective coating on both sides, while the transparent case back allows a view of the automatic movement. Water resistance is rated at 5 bar, or 50 meters.

The Sellita SW266-1 automatic caliber

The Unfrogettable Turquoise is powered by the Sellita SW266-1, an automatic movement specially adapted for the regulator-style display designed for this creation.

Operating at 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, it features 31 jewels and offers approximately 38 hours of power reserve.

Its openworked oscillating weight is personalized with the black-lacquered Louis Erard symbol.

This mechanical design allows for separate displays: hours at 9 o’clock, seconds at 3 o’clock, and minutes in the center. The timekeeping function thus becomes the very face of the watch.

A Japanese Himeji Kurozan Strap

Louis Erard completes this edition with a particularly original strap made of black Himeji Kurozan leather, sometimes nicknamed “black diamond leather.”

Sourced from a historic Japanese tannery, this calfskin is naturally tanned, handcrafted, and then finished using a traditional technique involving Urushi lacquer. The interplay of matte and glossy surfaces gives it a very distinctive texture.

On the Unfrogettable Turquoise, purple stitching and a purple leather lining directly echo the shades of the dial.
